At the heart of Sydney, the Taronga Zoo restaurant perched overlooking the beautiful harbour was a popular spot for celebrations. Jenn, Nhi's best friend, had made plans to take her out to this restaurant for dinner as a belated birthday treat. Little did Nhi know, she was in for the surprise of her life.While Nhi was working her weekend shift, Drew and Jenn had been spending the morning at the zoo decorating a room at the nearby Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat, all in preparation for Drew to pop the big question! To maintain the element of surprise, Drew had told Nhi he was going to be home all day; however Nhi managed to get off work earlier than expected and arrived home earlier than Drew. Forced to come up with an alibi for his absence, he told her he saw some interesting cars for sale online and drove all the way out to North Sydney to look at them, even presenting photos of said cars (that he had actually taken the day before).Nhi, fully knowing the man she had agreed to marry, knew that was a thing that Drew would actually do, and had no further questions.Shortly after Drew had arrived home, Jenn arrived to take Nhi to her "birthday celebrations". Meanwhile, Jenn and Nhi embarked upon an epic culinary journey (that was most definitely not designed to stall Nhi) before Jenn took her to the Wildlife Retreat and guided her towards the meticulously decorated room.Nhi arrived to a room transformed into a romantic haven, with rose petals scattered on the floor and the soft glow of candles guiding her down the entryway into the room. Nhi’s favorite flowers, poppies and sunflowers, framed the full height windows with a view of the Sydney harbour in the distance. The afternoon sun filtered through the trees and softly lit up the room with a golden glow, while the chirps and tweets of dozens of native birds provided the perfect soundtrack for this grand gesture of love. Drew finally got down on one knee and presented a ring box, that in typical Drew fashion, even had a light illuminating the dazzling ring inside.Nhi suddenly realized Jenn was missing and asked Drew where she had went.
